Apalachin Golf Course opened in 1964. The course was designed by WW2 pilot John Shearer.
Apalachin Golf Course is a challenging yet fun 18-hole course offers beautiful scenic views, rolling hills, and a relaxed atmosphere to be enjoyed by golfers of all levels. Water hazards (eight ponds) come into play on at least seven holes, and many trees line the fairways. The ladies, tee off from the same set of tees as the men.

greens are good but not too fast. fairways need more water greens are challenging with tough to read breaks some fairways are narrow with woods on one or both sides others have parallel fairways hilly course but a lot of 60 and 70 year olds still can walk it Staff is very nice still working on improvements
